About Oddi Atlantic
Oddi Atlantic was established in 2006 when two highly successful and well-respected companies (Oddi USA and Atlantic & Hastings) joined forces to create a full service folding carton and commercial printing business. We’ve combined 150 years of experience, knowledge, and innovative technology to deliver the highest level of service and top quality products to our customers. Oddi Atlantic also offers mail and fulfillment services that augment our folding carton and commercial printing base, plus promotional products that will make your business stand out from the crowd. Our goal is to give you a competitive advantage in your market by providing masterpiece results on each and every project.
Atlantic & Hastings
Atlantic & Hastings began as Hastings Brothers, founded in 1920 by Gordon Hastings who built a reputation for quality printing by integrating traditional service with progressive technology. Purchased in 1976 by Robert C. Twilley, the company maintained those time-honored standards as a family-run operation. A merger in 1998 with Atlantic Litho produced Atlantic & Hastings, which grew to be the largest commercial printer in the region, offering expanded production and value-added services.
Oddi USA
Oddi USA, a highly regarded refrigerated food packaging printer based in Princess Anne, Maryland, was originally a subsidiary of Iceland’s largest commercial printer, Oddi. Established in 1943 as a family-owned printing company, Oddi produced folding cartons for Iceland’s fishing industry. They now manage multiple European operations, and have been serving the United States commercial printing market since 2004. Oddi’s history of employing a tireless work ethic and maintaining state of the art facilities has driven them through tremendous growth, resulting in acquisitions worldwide. However, one principal remains unchanged – the Oddi commitment to artistic innovation, quality, and service.
It’s All in a Name
Oddi remains privately-held today and in 2006 a holding company, called Kvos, was formed to manage their international operations. In Icelandic, “kvos” means a small valley, which reflects the company’s intention to hold and protect its investments. A kvos is a safe place and an excellent one for launching new advances while protecting existing assets and allowing them to grow.
